My hubby has a serious heart condition. When my school decided to go back F2F I declined to return due to Covid-19 risk. They understood. We set up our house for our own kids to remote learn and I became a stay at home mom again.Well then randomly, a former coworker reached out to me for a remote position at her school she felt would be a great fit for me. On a whim I interviewed, and along with her high recommendation, I got the job! I hadn’t even been looking.I explained my situation to the principal and how I have to be 100% remote due to health reasons and she was totally accommodating. I’ll still be part of the grade level team (elementary, in-school team) but able to keep hubby safe!I am still in shock. But in a good way. Now I’ll just be learning as a teach a whole new curriculum and remote learning platforms, but that’s okay, I was trained to adapt and flex.
