Pregnant with my first child. Just looking for some first hand advice on when to start maternity leave. It's important for me to explain my work situation to provide context.I'm a home care nurse currently working with clients aged 12-24 months (10-15kg). This requires some occasional lifting of clients and bending over a crib. I typically work 8 hour nights. I give my availability and my shifts are scheduled a month in advance. I personally want to work as long as possible because staying home drives me insane, its so bad for my mental health AND I want to maximize my earnings for the year as these impact my maternity leave $.Thing is, I don't know how I'll feel when I schedule a month in advance. For the most part, I've had an easy pregnancy. No vomiting, no complications, I'm slightly overweight but have been gaining my baby weight slowly. I'm also 27 years old. The only thing I'm having difficulty with lately is falling and staying asleep. Can anyone provide their insights and first hand experience? I want to provide my work with as much notice as possible. I really don't want to schedule myself for shifts and then have to start my leave abruptly, leaving them hanging. via /r/BabyBumpsCanada https://ift.tt/36Bk59N
