Pyometra?

Species: catAge: 2Sex/Neuter status: intactBreed: tabbyBody weight: unknown... ~8lbs normallyHistory: asthma since kitten, open Pyometra treated with antibiotics last monthClinical signs: before- depression, vaginal discharge (white), excessive cleaningDuration: 1 monthYour general location: CanadaLinks to test results, X-rays, vet reports etc: n/aIt started with depression. She is usually happy, in fact i've never seen her depressed until last month. Then, i noticed the vaginal discharge, which sometimes was a lot and other times none as she would clean it.The vet gave her Clavaseptin? An antibiotic for 7 days. The discharge went away. Now, i'm unsure as to if her abdomen is swollen or not. My other cat, who is half Mainecoon is significantly higher, but her stomach is lean without any doubt as to health issues. But this one i can't tell if it's normal, below her ribcage on both sides is slightly wider then the ribcage area. She has never been obese, so it isn't from eating too much. Both of my cats are female & 100% indoor.Aside from saying "take her to the vet", is there anything i can do to verify if her abdomen is indeed enlarged? How do i go about asking my vet for a medication that isn't often prescribed for Pyometra, called Prostaglandin F2 Alpha which has shown a 100% success rate in clinical trials? Thank youP.s. please do not suggest spaying, as that isn't an option via /r/AskVet https://ift.tt/2T2z3hc
