When did the world outpace the Roman Standard of Living?

It is no secret that today we are living like kings, literally. A king 1000 years ago would be among the only few in society to have a form of plumbing, education, health care, warm water, any meat, and light indoors well into the night. Nowadays most people in the world at least have some of these aspects, in other parts of the world we have all.But in Roman times there were public baths that were warm, massive armies and massive cities dominated the world in such a scale not to be seen fully until 1500 and beyond. Rome had good infrastructure giving troops free movement from both ends as well as couriers, etc.Yet as we know, in the late 300s to 400s rome collapsed in the West but lived on in the east as Europe fell into darkness for about 1000 years (arguably).
