Parents think I'm selfish for participating in the Breaking Code Silence movement

I caused my parents a lot of pain when I was 15, I will be the first to admit that, but my parents think that the fact that I still bring up my time in the therapeutic teen treatment industry makes me selfish and immature. They want closure just as much as I do, but they believe that their own way to get closure is to never think about what I went through again. I still struggle with nightmares and mental health issues yet they think that because I attend a prestigious university that the troubled teen industry helped me. Any thoughts about how to address this? via /r/troubledteens https://ift.tt/3jczQ9L
